WALL FLOWERS IN BLOOM

Thursday, March 24th, 2011

Today, we are excited to reveal our newest photo campaign, Wall Flowers in Bloom: The April Collection at Flavor Paper. Flavor Paper is a Cobble Hill-based wallpaper design and production company housed in a striking four-story building on Pacific Street, designed by Jeff Kovel of Skylab Architecture in collaboration with Flavor Paper owner, Jon Sherman.

Flavor Paper’s hand screen printing facility and wallpaper showroom are a sight to be seen – with unique design elements at every turn. The most striking designs, however, can be found among the unique vintage and contemporary wallpaper designs. The Wall Flowers in Bloom campaign features these designs in conjunction with Brooklyn Industries’ newest spring collection.

WELCOME THE APRIL 2011 COLLECTION

Thursday, March 24th, 2011

It’s official – spring is on its way with the launch of our new collection! The April Collection features cool hues and refreshed designs inspired by the textures and the relaxed vibe of the early spring and summer. For this collection, we looked to the idyllic outdoor activities of the season – road trips, nature hikes and woodsy vacations – for inspiration, using a cool color palette, plaid prints and soft fabrics for jackets, shirts, sweaters, dresses, skirts, pants, shorts and hoodies.

The Summer Collection was photographed at the Cobble Hill digs of wallpaper design company, Flavor Paper. Every room, hallway, elevator and bathroom (as well as the roof) of this building is a designer’s dream and fit with the casual vibe of the collection.

The Summer Collection features many dresses, skirts, shorts, light jackets, casual blazers, classic hoodies, bold buttondowns and cotton tops, to welcome an early start to summer.

The complete April Collection can be found on on the BKI website under New Arrivals for both women and men, but here are some of our favorite pieces!

DUMBO, HERE WE COME AGAIN

Thursday, March 3rd, 2011

It’s a busy week here at Brooklyn Industries‘ headquarters in DUMBO, as we have announced plans to open a new store location just around the corner. BKI DUMBO, located on 70 Front Street will maintain the feel of an art gallery, like several of its neighbors in the area (which are, in fact, art galleries). The store design will be treated like an art installation and the space, adorned with high ceilings and white walls, will have fixtures that resemble sculptures. The design of the store, or “art installation,” will alternate every six months.

But the news doesn’t end there. Before the store’s doors officially open in a couple weeks, we are hosting a three-day sample sale in the store space, starting today! Come on by and get some amazing deals on BKI samples and merchandise.
