LETTERS FROM LEXY AT THANKSGIVING

Wednesday, November 24th, 2010

I am thankful to see art on the weekends, to be able to walk to work, to have coffee in the morning, to come home to two boys reeking havoc in our apartment. I am thankful to work on building product, and I am thankful to hire good people from Craigslist. I am thankful for my husband and for the amazing art he is creating. I am thankful for my mother who is supportive of everything, and takes the kids occasionally. Lastly, I am thankful for snow that will come soon and enable me to ski through the woods with my seven-year old.

BRIGHT LIGHTS IN BROOKLYN: THE HOLIDAY CAMPAIGN

Friday, November 19th, 2010

Today, we introduce our Holiday 2010 Campaign - Bright Lights in Brooklyn. We are excited to launch our first ever campaign using night time photography. We got to thinking about what the holidays actually feel like in Brooklyn and New York – beyond the snowflakes and bows. It’s when the city feels cool and crisp, and the nights are longer. You’re out and about in your party and winter best among the hustle and bustle, the lights, the parties and the energy. Lexy experimented with simple flash photography to capture the energy in Brooklyn during this time of year. Enjoy!

PING AND PONG

Friday, November 5th, 2010

It’s not snowing yet, but it will be soon enough. Until then, we have ping pong balls adorning the trees in Brooklyn Industries’ latest window displays. The displays, lush with scrap sumac branches from Upstate New York, are intended to represent the intermingling of man-made materials with nature.
